Renewable Energy

The world’s population relies heavily on coal, oil and natural gas for their daily energy usage. As these fossil fuels are finite in nature and more importantly, non-renewable, it would eventually dwindle and becomes too expensive or environmentally too damaging to extract.

In contrast, renewable energy resources are derived from the environment and are constantly replenished. Therefore supply is infinite and readily available. These renewable energy includes bio-energy, solar energy, photovoltaic, wind energy, geothermal energy, wave energy among others.

In today’s times, there is a conscientious effort by the global community to reduce global warming by reducing the emission of greenhouse gases into the atmosphere. To achieve this, and to satisfy the global community insatiable appetite for energy, renewable energy is the way forward.

With this, the technological development of using renewable energy has been in risen exponentially in recent times. As most renewable energy comes directly or indirectly from the sun, solar energy has been the forefront in the technology advancement.

Solar energy can be used for direct heating, electricity generation, cooling and hot water heating and is applicable for the commercial, industrial and domestic sector.

Solar water heating is one of the most effective means of harnessing solar energy from the sun. With solar hot water, we are not only reducing our heating costs but also help reduce greenhouse emission by up to 3 – 4 tonnes per annum. This is equivalent of removing a small vehicle from our roads every year.

Finally, solar water heater pays for itself and the savings continues for many year to come.
